Finger Paints

I have been wanting to try Finger Paints for over a year now and finally went to Sally Beauty and bought my first two. Winter Sky and Drummer Boy. Love them both and my hubby likes them also. The following pictures do not show you how pretty these two polishes are together. Very shiny and very Christmas like. The bubbles are my fault as I shook the bottle and did not wait for the polish to settle. Drummer Boy hides that mistake very well. I have been missing doing my nails and my hands are a mess but oh well. I put Hermione in the dog pen next to me and sat down to do my nails. It's been to long. So I clipped my nails, filed them using a glass file, applied lotion, washed my hands to remove lotion from nails and did nail hardener coat, waited for that to dry applied ridge filler..dry...applied Winter Sky.. one coat and it was Opaque immediately I was surprised when I saw this polish has a shimmer. When I looked at the bottle I really had no idea that it would. Cleaned around my nails with polish remover, waited for nails to dry took pictures then applied Drummer Boy. This glitter had awesome coverage and shine only one picture comes really close to showing you how it looks and that is my thumb. Wish you could see this polish it gets 4 stars for glam.

Busy Busy

Wish I could do my nails but it just isn't practical atm. Hermione is out of quarantine for her cough, Yeah! We still have to keep all toys, food , water and potty areas separated until Dec.8th but the all clear has been given to let the pups be together otherwise. The meds are done now we have to wait. I am not a vet so I don't understand this process but it is what it is. Lucky for us she is a good puppy and does her business on papers. It's been easy to keep her potty area separate. Still she is a small dog and as soon as anything goes in it comes out. A lot of hand washing and paw cleaning going on here also massive use of gloves and paper towels, wet ones, lysol and lysol wipes. I still would do it all over again. How anyone could let such a small pup go thru so much hell is beyond me. Finally her incision is healed and she had a bath yesterday, YEAH! All I can say at this point is that the people who rescue and care for these animals must have lots of energy, patience and big hearts Bless each and every one of them.

New Puppy

We have a new puppy from  N.O.A.H.  I am having to cut my nails down some more especially my right hand. She is quarantined to our master bedroom and bathroom for the next ten days when hopefully her kennel cough will be gone along with her parasites. She is 3 months old, weighs 5 pounds and was found abandoned on the street and brought to a shelter. She's adorable but keeping everything clean and keeping her away from our other two dogs until the vet gives her the all clear is time consuming. It is worth it and since I don't work I have the time to take care of her. N.O.A.H. did worm her twice, gave her frontline and spayed her. On the bright side she has no temp, no diarrhea, her cough is mild, she is hydrated and eating, eyes are bright and she is alert so it is just a mild cold. She is on medicine for the next ten days then goes back to vet for follow up.
My hands are taking a beating though from washing and disinfecting them though I am also using gloves. I plan on throwing out all the soft toys tomorrow that she has and just letting her have the ones that can be cleaned. This isn't a very good picture of her but eventually I will post a better one. We named her Hermione. She has sable coloring.
